Added

  • Kimodo's own settings on every definition: model, seed, diffusion steps, postprocess, beat splitting, and - under Advanced - separated guidance (cfg_text, cfg_constraint) and where poses come from.
  • Direct, in the definition window: a plain guide to beats, poses at moments, guidance and seeds, and actions beside it - Pin a pose from an animation at the start, the end, both or a moment; Show what will be sent; Clear authored poses; Measure the imported clip.
  • Generate starts a stopped local runner - Docker first if it is closed - and waits for the text encoder, instead of refusing.
  • The Kimodo Runner panel gains Another machine: point the project at a studio workstation's runner, with its token kept in this computer's vault and the commands to start it there.
  • Llama 3 access is measured, not assumed: Hugging Face is asked whether the stored token can read the gated model, and the answer - granted, not granted yet, token refused - is shown with the link to request it.
  • Setup steps for Get started: where it runs, Docker, the token, Llama 3 access, the image, the runner, and renting a GPU instead.

Changed

  • Cost follows where it runs: free on this machine or another, per hour on a rented GPU, which bills while the pod is up whether or not anything generates.
  • The character's route and actions come from Kimodo: Build Kimodo rig for IK on the feet, Import directly instead to skip it.
  • Building a Kimodo rig marks the character as Kimodo's. Left universal, it could be offered to another provider, which would then have retargeted its own clips through Kimodo's rig.

Fixed

  • Poses keyed only on the prompt timeline reach the runner.
  • A rotation a little off orthonormal no longer fires an engine ensure while a clip is read.
  • The README and the plugin's own messages name the real console commands: Kimodo.PreviewConstraints, Kimodo.Measure, Kimodo.Diagnose.

Compatibility

  • Needs MotionForge 0.4.0 or later.

Known issues

  • The runner's compose file publishes port 8757 on every network interface, while its comments describe a loopback-only desktop runner. Set KIMODO_API_TOKEN on any machine the network can reach.

  • Packaging fix: the release now carries everything the register allows. BuildPlugin's filter excludes Config/ and every public_extra path, so earlier zips shipped without them.
  • Config/ForgeMachine.json reaches an installed copy for the first time, so the hub's Keys and Runners pages are no longer empty for it.
  • The Runner/ folder ships, so the container this plugin resolves from its own installed directory can finally be built from a release.

  • The Tools menu shows one Automation Forge section, not eight loose tools
  • Every plugin now points at kovati.dev

  • A written contract, because three runners had grown three dialects
  • Kimodo now requires a runner that speaks the contract
  • Both runners pass the contract check, measured not assumed
  • Kimodo's runner image moves to 1.1, with a note on one host serving many runners

  • Keys that belong to a person, not to a plugin
  • Emotion detection: the audio decides, and a token is not access
  • A runner panel for Audio2Face, and three verbs that finally differ
  • One visual language for both runner panels
  • Keys are settable without the hub, and a rented pod survives a restart
  • Settings-page copy, a measured pull size, and a pod disk that is not Kimodo's
  • Versions for the release

0.2.1

  • ForgeKeys is not a plugin any more; the hub carries the keys
  • A stopped container is no longer reported as a running one
  • The state check has to succeed before its answer means anything
  • Kimodo declares where it can be rented
  • The READMEs catch up with a long day

0.2.0

29 August 2026 · Download (603 KB) · Release on GitHub

  • ForgeKeys: one page for every key, and no plugin needs it; keys move to Editor Preferences
  • A panel for the machine that generates
  • Stop blaming a first run for a wait that happens every time
  • One place at a time, and a shape a person can read
  • Try every affordable GPU, and let Stop work
  • Say what is measured, not what is assumed
  • Stop stops, Set up starts, Rebuild rebuilds
  • Know which runner image is installed
  • Reach the provider's own setup, without knowing what it is
  • Wire provider state, so a runner started elsewhere shows up here
  • README: the runner panel, the three buttons, the image signature
  • The status says whether the keys exist, and the descriptions name Drifted
  • Every plugin descriptor agrees with its release tag, and says who made it
  • A shared plugin has to be optional at build time, not only at runtime

  • Free local motion generation, proven end to end; rent a GPU from the editor and make it fast
  • Cloud image, settings persistence, capacity failures, network volumes, disposable pods
  • Prove the pose converter and fix the four things that broke it
  • Send authored poses and prove the payload against the binary
  • Ship the SOMA rig with the plugin; make hand IK a choice rather than a default
  • Build FK and hand-IK rigs as separate assets, and disprove the goals theory
  • Make the IK half of the retarget actually run; document the three ways its IK dies silently
  • Make the Kimodo runner build and run on a Blackwell card
  • Kimodo is a thirty-frame model, and clips import as a T-pose — fixed
  • Duration is per beat, not per clip; the ceiling belongs on the beat, not the clip
  • Provisioning was broken by a Runpod API change; settings move house
  • Three clips played at double speed; repair them and plan the prevention
  • The harvest reads a sequence we built, and naming a pose is worth 58cm
  • Two console commands the README named wrong, and what a baked rig costs
  • Carved out of Colony: the Automation Forge plugins, with their history
